Many years ago the drum was used as a signaling device to relay orders to troops on ships and on the battlefield. This was the case for many years within the British Army & Royal Navy until it was replaced in around the 1850's by the Bugle. However the Bugle Horns & Trumpets were already being used by the British well before then.

As well as Georgian style drumming, we have a Fife player that is also dressed in the same period uniform and has researched the correct period music to play. We are also proud to be able to offer a professional Violinist dressed in 1800's naval rig. Old style music, drum beatings & bugle calls are our main objectives however; We now have a modern Corps of Drums that are dressed in a similar uniform that have proved extremely popular at all sorts of events including performing on board HMS Victory.
Most common occasions are: Trafalgar and Pickle night functions (Mainly for HM Forces), Historical presentations on Drum and Bugle calls of the period, Museum Talks/Displays, Re-enactment Events, Weddings, Formal dinners of many types, Funerals, Fetes & Festivals, Film extras, Tattoos & Pageants, Street Entertainers.
